Finally! A kids’ Bible with inclusive language and not all white people! The stories are told responsibly - to the Scripture and to the developmental stage of the child. The questions after the storie are great for inviting reflection. I highly highly recommend!
This is my new favorite children’s bible. I don’t have to edit this as I read it to my kids - who have a neuroscientist for a father and a theologian for a mother. Excellent work!!!
Fabulous book for children. I intend to read it to my granddaughters via Skype. They will have their book so can look at pictures and I will have mine.

This book is fantastic! The stories are perfect for my son who is five. They’re short enough to hold is attention, but are packed with detail. He loves how the stories are written so that he can see how people in the Bible struggled in many of the same ways we still do today. Each story ends with questions for the reader to discuss with listeners. Sometimes they ask about recalling the story and other times they ask how one might react in a similar situation, etc. there is also a scripture index in the back that tells where to find the stories in the Bible.The illustrations are beautiful and full of color. The hardback binding is of excellent quality. The pages are thick enough that they will withstand many, many readings. I am thoroughly impressed with this book.
I love this children's bible! The pictures are beautiful, the colors and extremely rich and eye catching to keep children attention! The stories are perfect for all ages and the text is easy to understand for younger children! The stories are not to long, and are well written to keep children engaged and listening. I love that the bible stories are well organized so if i am wanting to read a certain thing to my children its easy to find! Some of the themes include strong women (which is great since I have all daughters), healing, strong men, and listening for God. This is a great book to help lay down the Christian Foundation for your children. I love this book. It was given to me by the publishers for free from netgalley in exchange for my review.
This is a beautiful book! The stories are clearly written, theologically well-informed, a perfect length for children (and their adult readers!) Each story is followed by excellent suggestions for readers to think about and act upon. The artwork, done by a number of talented artists, is quite wondrous--beautiful colors and details, drawing the reader further into the story. I have shared this book with my grandchildren, young children of my acquaintance, and I am keeping one for myself.
