Correction. I did research and discovered Aramaic and early Greek transcripts are missing these versus. I’m not new to reading the Bible but new to studying. There are literally versus missing on page 360 John 7:42-7:52 then on page 361 starts John 8: 12-8:20. Where are versus 1-11 of chapter 8? Why are the versus in the other bibles? I have a Hebrew Bible and this Greek study Bible and both have broaden my understanding that one most study not just read to appreciate what and how it was written at that time and in that culture.

I'm glad I purchased the book because I now have the opportunity to read the new testament bible as translated from the Greek to English and seeing how in some situations that the translation in this book is different from the King James version of the bible. This book should be purchased by anyone reading the bible.

This is an interlinear with a built in concordance. The New Testament translation is NRSV. There are Strong's numbers over the Greek texts in the interlinear. Handy and thorough, one of my favorite tools. I own several interlinears, and this one seems to be the handiest. Besides using the book to parse scriptures, you can also use this book to see how other (this one is NRSV) bibles wandered from the earlier translations. I must say that I have been surprised a few times doing that. The NIV has some passages that seem to deviate from their original meanings, especially in the Pauline epistles. A big surprise was how accurate the oft maligned "The Living Bible" was when we did a comparison of different translations of the bible as an exercise in bible study. Who would have thought? I guess that may be why the Catholic church gave The Living Bible an imprimatur which I had always thought curious. Anyway, you can use MacReynolds' book for all sorts of interesting studies like that. I should say that if you are planning to start quoting what the Greek words are, you will still need an understanding of Greek, since the concordance doesn't give you an English pronunciation.

A joy reading the literal word for word translation from the Greek. Example" Baptizo is consistently translated correctly as"immersion" and not transliterated as "baptize" as is done in every English translation, including the New Revised Standard version in the side margins. The English transliteration into baptize is done to accommodate those who sprinkle and pour and has be done so since the earliest English translations.

The translations are so literal that some compound words in Greek are translated into English to show the reader how the word is actually formed. I love to reference Greek words and this concordance is amazing!

Had this book for a long time, and sold it to make room for a move. Bad mistake! Missed it ever since, and so bought another copy. If you preach or teach or are just excited to study God's word, then this is one book that you definitely need!!!

This is a great find for anyone that wants to study the Bible. It's word for word translation straight from the Greek text is amazing. It has brought new life and light to a lot of the scriptures I know from memory and has helped me to understand some of the words used better. For instance,the word faith and believe are always translated 'trust' in the Greek. I'm glad I found this.

I use this Bible at those critical moments when the original intent is not so clear. I have others that translate to the original text next to english, but I would say this is my best in terms of literal meaning and great for an exhaustive study.

 Halo 4 is back with a bang and this is an excellent video game art book for it.It's a large 192-page hardcover published by Titan Books. Each page is filled with lavish concept art printed huge, sometimes across two pages. There's a good amount of environment paintings that look really great because they are printed so big -- great for soaking in the ambiance. The environment paintings are easily the highlight of the book. I love the very physical look of the designs. And those with wide open spaces look majestic.Other concept art include designs for Master Chief, Cortana, Spartans, troops, Forerunners, weapons, vehicles and ships. They are all amazing and detailed. It will take a while to look through the art.There are several artbooks for Halo, and this is one of the best, and one of my 2012 favourite artbooks as well.Fantastic concept art book.Highly recommended for Halo fans.(There are more pictures of the book on my blog. The artwork for Halo 4 is incredible. Admittedly, Halo 4 isn't my favorite game, but the artwork is really next-level quality stuff. The artists really did a tremendous job expanding the universe while staying true to the original vision of the forerunners. My only wish is that the general direction of the art veer away from the more cartoony look of the Spartan IVs, and the covenant go back to the original vision of Bungie (namely the Elites and the grunts are vastly different, for no apparent reason other than to be different). Other than that, no complaints here. Not only is this an incredible Halo art book, this is a tremendous addition for any fan of science fiction.

Overall the book was ok. I bought it because I was interested in the characters/equipment/vehicles. I think that this book had more of that than the later Halo 5 book. But like that one, I would have liked to have seen even more line concept development sketches, especially for the Mantis.

Hands down some of the best concept art in the games and/or movie industry. A stellar, once in a lifetime team of talented artists came together to contribute to this game, and the artwork is just stunning. A huge range of all types of production art- mainly full-color illustrations, every page is jam packed with art. Really worth the buy!

Amazingly packaged! I haven't opened it up yet but I'm sure it's amazing. I mean come on, what collector who goes for resale in the future opens their packages haha? Comes with its own little box to open it with. Very neat and again, very well packaged.

Its an art book. Really great art from story boards and concepts from the aliens and ships and environments to the various armors wore by Spartans. Really nice layouts and well worth the price of this book. Again the art is beautiful with little notes from the artists about their ideas and what they were going for. Again if your a Halo fan it cant be missed. If your an art lover its got some beautiful enviroments and character concepts and just an overall great reference book as well for the aspiring artist.

Absolutely stunning concept art for one of the best games in the Halo series! Some very talented artists contributed to this game. It's incredible to see how close the final game was to a lot of the concept art. Lots and LOTS of things to look at and a great book to get if you're into video game art books/concept art. The amount and quality of the content is well worth the price!

I love concept art books and buy many but they can be a little disappointing when their filled with pictures you could find browsing the internet. If you like halo or sci fi concept art this book is great. Plenty of sketches and final illustrations. Not really a negative, but I would love to see more information on the artist and what it took for them to create the image and what they were trying to convey with their design. The page material feels...... a bit cheaper than others I have experienced with the purchase of hard covers but for the price it was a "no regret purchase".Dev

Let me start out by saying that Halo 4 was my first real Halo game. I had tried a few other previous Halo games but nothing compares to 4. Now, this book of art from the people who designed Halo 4 is simply amazing! To see how the scenes, warriors, weaponry and vehicles went from idea to fruition is breathtaking. As an artist myself, I can honestly say that this book represents this generation's greats in the world of art. These people will be heralded as the da Vinci or Michaelangelo of our time. This book is well worth more than the price tag attached to it. If you love Halo, or just love art in general, buy this book, you won't regret it!
