It's not that at all but something better.For the aging group of us as we get older there are things that all we can do is laugh about and that's what this book is about.The things we have no control over but we used to be able to control them then we got older...So many funny stories in this book, poems, movies you should see now that you're older, new song titles etc. What a laugh this book is!True comedy!

This young christian women has a remarkable back ground for comedy. I cant remember the last time I laughed so much. I now have a new out look on my aging, and can laugh at it. I recommend this book to a couple of my friends and family members and one of them stayed up all night reading and laughing ( so i was told )Laughter is the best medicine for ones soul !!The bonus .... she knows how to put a insight to life and its tragedies, with recommendations on repairing the soul of you or others . Such as anger to friends or family. Tells you in a way to forgive and not to hold grudges in such a Christian way with out preaching. Makes you think.

I read this book in one sitting, not finding a "good place to stop" until the end. Sometimes I would find myself laughing out loud. Hubby asked what was so funny. He'd just have to read it for himself, I told him while I just kept on reading.

This will appeal to the older reader (or someone trying to understand menopause). Especially liked the quoted poem about living with your children in your old age. Good quotes regarding aging thru out the book. Funny story about the vibrating belt & her arms! I really enjoyed the book & the author's truths about many of the aging issues. She takes an optimistic approach.

Martha Bolton is once again making me laugh and sympathize with her and I'm not even middle aged! This book is full of both humor in the face of life's trials and encouragement to keep on going whether you feel like life is over or not. A must read to tickle your funny bone and warm your heart...even if you already have enough heat to boil the ocean.

From the very outset, Martha Bolton makes it perfectly clear she has experienced middle age and it's not going to get the better of her. Humorous, sarcastic, sometimes down right snarky, the author takes on the issues that make middle life difficult that are often dismissed because we accept them as part of life. Martha Bolton is not accepting anything! If you are in the midst of menopause, pick up this book so the author can demonstrate to you you're not alone.

This book is brings humor to middle age and beyond. You find yourself going that's right I remember that or that happened to me. Your family will wonder why you are laughing. They don't quite understand the humor like you do because they haven't been through it. Your husband might some, but your kids have no idea of what you are talking about. The suggestions in the book are wonderful and when I get the chance I'll try them all. It is time to learn to play again.

This book is written like a word document. There is a general lack of proper formatting, and the content is unorganized and illogically delivered. I am an InfoSec student in my senior year that enjoys supplemental reading. This is the worst text I've come across among the plethora of InfoSec related books I've read over the past 3 years. I recommend anyone looking into Kali Linux to purchase something by Occupy the Web or Packt.It's a shame that the author didn't take the time and energy to have someone edit the book, because it seems that he does have quite a bit of technical knowledge.After reading the reviews I'm also fairly convinced that instead of investing in proper editing he purchased fake reviews to pad his book's rating, which is unethical on top of misleading.

Tbh i didnt expect much out of a 5 dollar book. The part i dont like is the kpop phrase because it will literally just give you an English word and count it as one of those 500 words in the book. Example tells you the names of music shows and charts like Gaon. And the examples are really koreaboo cringey bulit. Like it will use english and randomly insert the romanized word in the sentence. Ex "its a gogooma drama." IMO if you write a korean word it should be in hangul not romanized. If you just want to learn a few korean words then go ahead and buy this book but if you really want to learn korean I suggest you save your 5 bucks and buy some other book that will actually help you. Also who ever spelled check didnt do a good job. Idk if its just my book but some "to" are spelled as just "t."

This book arrived with the pages printed upside down and the words cut off.

The book came as a Christmas present for my daughter. When she opened it up the book was upside down and the words was cut off! Horrible

My 14-year-old daughter absolutely loved this book! She's fascinated with Kpop genre and I encourage reading so why not. It's funny too.

My daughters are big fans and have had so much fun reading this. A great purchase for any English speakers who love Kpop.

Fair information from a therapist who stopped practicing to become a librarian. If all you want is "book knowledge" then this is for you. There are better resources written by therapists who are actually treating patients.

I wish i had found this book before my level 2 Fieldwork! It gives simple explanations, how to evaluate and treat many diagnosis. I will use when I start working as a new practitioner

Excellent resource for both student and professional OT and OTA. In my opinion, this is one of the "must have" books.

I've been calling this my "Bible." It goes everywhere with me (like, literally). It was only required for 1 of my classes last semester, but I used it for 4 of them! Even if it's not required, do yourself a favor and buy this. It is incredibly useful for OT students, and I foresee myself using it even after I graduate.

Great to have around when you need to reference a treatment.

This book is a MUST if you are an OTR or student studying occupational therapy. Reed does a great job breaking down all of the assessments and interventions into the different domains of our OTPF. Great book to have at your desk and also to refresh on! Would highly recommend.

It's a good, but uneven, GNR bio. I wish that it covered the origins of each song better. The whole process of writing each album is covered in just a few paragraphs. It does cover a lot of the business aspects of the band, and how important the band managers were in their success. I got a real sense of seedy, debauched L.A. in the 80's, and how important that scene was to the origins of the band. I got a good sense of Axl's personality and issues, and how underrated and important Izzy was, but didn't get much sense of Slash's personality or issues aside from drug addiction.Overall, I would say this book focuses a lot on the business side of things, tours, and the drama and conflicts, but doesn't cover the music or musicianship as much as I would have liked. The music is what interests people in a band, so I think band bio's should have a strong focus on the music.The writing is often confusing and repetitive. Frequently, Mick will cover a certain episode in the band's life, then suddenly start talking about things that happened months or years before, and finally come back around to the episode. It can be difficult to follow the timeline. There is usually a reason for this: he is trying to show the same episode from different perspectives, or give a preview before going into the details. I think he could have done a better job of this as a writer, but I do appreciate that he tries to give all sides.One of the frustrating aspects of the book - well, of GNR really - is that for just about any episode in the life of the band, every person involved has a very different, often contradictory, story to tell about it. Not to be political about it, but it reminds me a lot of Donald Trump's presidency - irreconcilable distortions of whatever actually happened. Anyway, such disagreements about what happened are pretty close to the core of the problems that have plagued the band for the past 30 years. So, in that sense, Mick does a good job of presenting the band.The first half of the book is everything up to Use Your Illusion. The second half is everything since. I wish the split had been more 80/20. I got pretty tired of reading about all the drama and letdowns post-UYI. I did like the coverage of Velvet Revolver though. But I ended up skipping past quite a bit of the last 25% because it was so repetitive hearing about tour after tour cancelled or interrupted by the same old excuses, the same old fights, the same old lies.I should mention that this is the only GNR biography I've read, so I can't say how it compares to others. It does cover the band right up to 2017, so it's nice that it includes the Not in this Lifetime tour.

Meticulously researched, excellently written. A fast paced read and a great ride through GNR history that goes right up to the minute. You won't want it to end. Fortunately, the author also wrote a Lenny bio which I just started. Also great. The prefect summer read...you'll want to read over and over again.

Very well-written book. I found myself laughing aloud a few times. Great recap of dialogue and events. The tales of all the drug and alcohol use as well as the whining at each other (of each other) made me nauseous. My Opinion: I think that they are not heroes or musicians of any kind...perhaps they were entertainers at best fraught with emptiness they haven’t yet filled and now in a last ditch effort for money-grab type of touring.

As usual, Mick Wall writes a thorough, compelling and accurate portrayal of the band’s history. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in GNR history. I really enjoyed it.

Was so sad to finish this book by Mick Wall. Buying every book he’s ever written. Such a great read. Guns fan or not, it’s dishy non-fiction fun. And if you’re a rock memoir fan like me, The Dirt, Slash and Scar Tissue are must reads. Xx
