This book is an opportunity to connect but I think it is more of a map than a check list. Or maybe its like a dance lesson. Each of us can understand the box step from the same instructions, yet each of us experiences it personally and differently, when we are actually doing it, especially with the right partner!This book took me to a surprisingly deeper connection first with myself and then with my partner. I spent time with each chapter when I first woke up and read it slowly and thought about it in the quiet of the early morning. I tried to read it without expectation or judgment and just trust the experience.There were a lot of unexpected results. First, I began to notice my energy much differently. Just paying attention to when I subtly switched from being in the flow to trying to manufacture an outcome was really educational. Playing with bringing my energy back to just being part of a moment rather than controlling it, has been great.The different exercises in the book are like a fun scavenger hunt, moving from stage to stage, figuring out what you are really trying to get from the experience with only clues. It's kind of like an Escape the Room experience with your old limitations of yourself being the room.Reading the book felt a like getting to spend time with a secret master, someone that has dedicated her life to being an agent of love. I will never regret expanding my heart and I am grateful. Spending time with this book was fantastic!
Just finished reading it. The first half of the book is so much of what me & best friend talk about in relationships!! I have been doing the practices in the second half for a few years (most of them anyway) so I KNOW they work. Great, great information. I will definitely be suggesting it to my clients.
