About the Author
David Muench has made images of the natural drama of the American landscape for decades using large format cameras. "I recently came across a copy of the log of the first air-driven boat up the Colorado River in Glen Canyon... July 3, 1938...Passengers Josef Muench, Joyce R. Muench and David Muench. I was twelve. It was a six mile hike to Rainbow Bridge. Twenty-one years after that excursion, Glen Canyon was drowned beneath Lake Powell. i bought these to give as gifts to folks out of the country that are not familiar with the Arizona desert. they were well received by my global coworkers. they using them as coffee table books now in Israel, Ireland, Malaysia, and Dalian. i kept one for myself too. beautiful illustrations. recommend it for someone just wanting to show pictures of the beauty of the desert...
